Welcome to Year 5 with Mrs Gray and Mrs Nuttall! We are so excited for the year ahead and have lots of exciting lessons, activities and topics planned that we know the children will enjoy.
Autumn 1 – Where Does Our Food Come From?
Our first topic this year 5s ‘Where Does Our Food Come From?’. Throughout the term, the children will explore where our food comes from and how it is produced.
In Geography, we will learn about where different foods are grown around the world, while in DT, we will explore how food is grown and investigate seasonal foods.
PE
In PE this term, the children will develop their skills in Gymnastics, which will take place indoors, and Rugby, where they will develop their outdoor games skills.
We are looking forward to a fantastic first term in Year 5 and can't wait to see the children learn, grow and enjoy all the exciting opportunities ahead!
