Black History Month
Black History Month at St Teresa’s This month, some of our guided reading sessions have focused on Black History Month. We’ve been exploring inspiring books by authors from different backgrounds and celebrating stories that highlight the remarkable achievements of Black people around the world. Toby in Year 6 said he “enjoyed reading about Nelson Mandela and his struggle for freedom and change.” Yousef shared that he liked learning “why Black History Month is celebrated” and that it’s “a time to recognise and celebrate the achievements of people of colour.” We’re proud to see our pupils developing such thoughtful reflections as they learn about equality, resilience, and the power of history to inspire change. ✨
